Namche Bazaar which is the Sherpa village well known as the main gate of Everest Base Camp Trekking.

It is one of the trekkers juction. There are cyber cafe, internet service 24 hours, pub , bar , trekking equipments shop and comfortable hotel. Hotel provides 24 hours hot water.

It takes 4 days to reach  Everest Base Camp. 

Trekkers should stay one more night at Pheriche or Dingboche for acclimatisation.

Patan Mahalaxmi Temple

Patan Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the famous temple in Kathmandu valley. Patan is also listed of world heritage site of Nepal. Some people say also Bishokarma. This Hindu Temple is known as  grand Laxmi  temple of the Patan community.

Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Nepal

Ganesh Chaturthi / Vinayaka Chaturthi is a very Important Hindu Festival, celebrated with great devotion in Nepal and India. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as birth anniversary of Lord Ganesh. There are different name of Ganesh as Surya Binayak, Jal Binayak, Ashok Binayak, Karya Binayak and Siddhi Ganesh.

There are known as  Riddhi and Siddhi wife of Ganesh. Subha and labha  are the son of ganesh.On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesh is worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. It is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Currently Ganesh Chaturthi day falls in month of August or September in English calendar.

Indra Jatra in Kathmandu

Indra Jatra  is the popular religious street festival of Newar community in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is most commonly known or Yenyā  Punhi in Newari language. . The people of Kathmandu valley celebrate the religious festival of Indra Jatra remembering Lord Indra.  Indra  is known as the god of rain and also as the king of heaven. The festival of Indra Jatra actually continues for eight days . Both Hindus and Buddhists unite to celebrate the festival of Indra Jatra with great enthusiasm.

It is believed that Indra Jatra was started by king Gunakamadeva to commemorate the founding of the city of Kathmandu in the 10th century.The Indra Jatra  celebrations consist of two events. Indra Jatra  is marked by masked dances of deities and demons. The other event is the chariot procession of the living goddess Kumari Jatra. Kumari Jatra began in the mid-18th century.
