Numbur Cheese Circuit (NCC) offers visitors a superb, breathtaking view of majestic Himalayan peaks including Langtang, Jugal Himal, Gaurishankar and Numburchuli and many more. Walk through deep river gorges, glacial lakes, terraced rice fields, subtropical forests and Sherpa villages to the Likhu Khola glacier, watched over by the towering peaks of Pathibarra and Numburchuli. Everest base camp trekking

Namche Bazaar which is the Sherpa village well known as the main gate of Everest Base Camp Trekking.
It is one of the trekkers juction. There are cyber cafe, internet service 24 hours, pub , bar , trekking equipments shop and comfortable hotel. Hotel provides 24 hours hot water.
It takes 4 days to reach  Everest Base Camp. 
Trekkers should stay one more night at Pheriche or Dingboche for acclimatisation.

Indra Jatra in Kathmandu


Indra Jatra  is the popular religious street festival of Newar community in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is most commonly known or Yenyā  Punhi in Newari language. . The people of Kathmandu valley celebrate the religious festival of Indra Jatra remembering Lord Indra.  Indra  is known as the god of rain and also as the king of heaven. It is believed that it was built by Vishnu Deva Varma many centuries ago, this site is so placed that the first rays of the rising sun strike the golden, masked image of the elephant-headed deity. Dakshainkali Sightseeing Tour


Dakshainkali is the most important hindu pilgrims and the popular hindu shrines in the Kathmandu valley. It is located in the southern part of the Valley near the Bagmati River.
 There is full of people on Tuesday and Saturday. The main festival is on Ashvin-Krishna-navami when thousands of worshippers come.
This pilgrims dates from the fourteenth century. The shrine is supposed to have been built by Pratap Malla who was instructed to do so by the goddess herself. He installed the image of kali in the southern part of the Valley; thus the name Dakshin-"south"-kali.
It is situated in a recessed valley on a peninsula created by the convergence of two streams which flow between forested hills. The small walled shrine has roofs decorated with embracing snakes. Inside there are a black stone image of kali and the images of the seven Matrikas are Kumari, Maheshowari, Vhairabi, Indrayani, Narasinhi, and Chamunda, Ganesh, Kumar, and a free-shaped stone of Bhairab. After passing the shrine, the path winds uphill to a shrine devoted to kali's mother.

Gorakhnath


Gorakhnath is known as greatest saint of hindu religion. It lies near the north hill top of Pharping village, This site is a narrow terrace in front of the entrance to a cave which contains eighteenth century images of Padma Sambhava, Bajrasattwa, Bajrikila, and Hayagriva. Gorakhnath was one of the Nine Nath Siddhas. The Nath tradition has a tremendous influence of countless spiritual schools. According to history, Gorakhnath has been born sometime in the 8th century, although some believe he was born hundreds of years later. Gorakhnath is connected to Shaivism as one of the two most important disciples of Matsyendranath.

The present physical structures are the remnants of a small meditation cell that once had two storeys but is now in decay. On the platform it is a small chaitya built above the stone footprint of Gorakhnath dating back to 1390, according to the inscription.
Legend says that Padma Sambhava stayed in the cave on his way from India to Tibet. He meditated here and gained knowledge of the Niratma philosophy.
The shrine is visited daily by a Tamang lama who conducts the worship. Built in memory of the sages Gorakhnath and Padma Sambhava, it is of interest to both Hindus and Buddhists. It is, however, mostly frequented by Tibetans and followers of northern Lamaism.

Sekh Narayan in Pharping


Sekh Narayan is one of the four most important Narayan shrines in the Kathmandu Valley.
It is located at the foot of the Gorakhanath hill on the east side of the Pharping road.
The zone is divided into two areas. The first one is adjacent to the road and consists of a series of water pools with foot paths connecting them. There are two shikhara-style structures of Mahadev and several ancient carved stone images. Adjacent to the lower foot path there are a Lakshmi Narayan, Ardha Narishwar, Vishnu, and Kamadev. There are a thirteenth century Surya panel and a Surya figure, both half submerged in one of the pools. One Shiva-Parbati is located within the upper tank and another is next to the stairway leading to the lower pool.
A stone stairway winds up to the second area, about 13m above the pools, where a single-roofed temple is built in front of the Narayan cave. There are life-size stone figures of Garuda and a Vishnu Vikranta, as well as a sixteenth century Hanuman. Behind the temple, a vertical rock wall goes up hundreds of feet. Inside the shrine are images of Vishnu, Gauri, and Lakshmi Narayan.
According to legend, Pradyumna, the son of Lord Krishna, established this shrine of Narayan.

The small Sekh Narayan Temple is the centerpiece of an interesting collection of temples, pools and carvings. The pools are beside the road to Pharping, 
Sekh Narayan (Shesh Narayan) temple is one of the four Vishnu temple built at the cardinal points of the Kathmandu valley, the others are Changu Narayan.

Gai jatra Festival in Kathmandu



The festival of "Gai Jatra", the procession of cows, is generally celebrated in the Nepalese month of Bhadra (August-September). The festival of cows is one of the most popular festivals of Nepal. The whole complex of Gai Jatra festival has its roots in the ancient age when people feared and worshipped Yamaraj,"the god of death". However, the ironical sessions synonymous with the Gai Jatra festival came into tradition in the medieval period of Nepal during the reign of Malla Kings. Hence, the present form of Gai Jatra is a happy blending of antiquity and medievalism.
According to the traditions since times immemorial, every family who has lost one relative during the past year must participate in a procession through the streets of Kathmandu leading a cow. If a cow is unavailable then a young boy dressed as a cow is considered a fair substitute. In Hinduism, a cow is regarded as the most venerated among all the domestic animals. It is believed that the cow, revered as a holy animal by Hindus, will help the deceased relative's journey to heaven.
In terms of historical evidences, once when King Pratap Malla lost his son, his wife, the queen remained dumbstruck. The king was very sad to see the condition of his beloved queen. The king, in spite of his several efforts, could not lessen the grief of his wife. By all means he wanted to see little smile on the lips of his sweetheart. He announced that someone who ever made the queen laugh would be rewarded adequately.

Phulchoki hill Hiking in Kathmandu


Phulchoki hill is the highest forest hill located on the south- east of  Lalitpur district.  The road touch from Godavari to Phulchoki hill. Phulchoki Mai is on top of the hill. It is visited by devotees who pray for wealth. It is especially frequented during falgun-purnima mela. This hill become the main destination of snow lovers.
There is a small temple single-storey Bhairab with a typanum depicting Tara on her vehicle, the Vrish-Hansha and Garuda. The remains of a Sitala image and stone images of Vishnu and Bhimsen are inside this temple.
There are two water-tanks, one tank with nine dharas which date from the seventeenth century. Above of water tank, there is a stone Buddhist chaitya containing the images of Ratna Sambhava Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Amoghsiddhi Buddha and Akshobhya Buddha.
At the entrance of the temple compound, there are ceramic image of Yamadut and a lion. Inside the compound, there is the three-storey Phulchoki shrine. The tympanum portrays Basundhara Devi; the struts which support the brass roofs are carved with the Ashtamatrikas. 

Bajrajogini temple in Pharping


Bajrajogini temple lies at the Pharping on the same hill as the Gorakhnath cave. Both of religious people respect to this temple. It consists of a courtyard with the three-storey main temple in the center and two wings of attached dharmasalas. On the third side, there is a high wall with an entrance gate.  But the wooden pagoda structure gives a welcoming, cottage ambience, so that you really feel you are visiting the "house" of the devi.

The seventeenth century temple has well carved struts depicting Pujadevi, and Ulukashya. The torana carved with Bajrasattwa. The image of Tantric Buddhist goddess, Bajrajogini. On the ground floor, beneath the sanctum, there are figures of Awalokiteshowar, Shakya Muni, Basundhara devi and two Bhikshus. In the courtyard there are a stone chaitya and images fo Ganesh and Mahakal.
According to histry, It is inhabited by sages such as Naropa, Tilopa phanpipa, and Odiyarcharya who practiced meditation here and gained enlightenment through Ashtasiddhi.

Chobhar in Kathmandu


Chobhar is popular the natural caves with small hill 9 km southwest of south Kathmandu. Chobhar is also known for the Chobhar gorge through which all the water of the valley drains. A small Adinath temple Sampradaya sits on top of a nearby hill. The temple offers a view of snow-capped mountains. These caves have been explored by research teams from Czechoslovakia in 1980 and Germany in 1985.
According to Swayambhu Purana story and legend, Kathmandu Valley was full of water as a lake. It is believed that the goddess Manjushree cut a gorge at a place called Chobhar Gorge and drained away the waters to establish a habitable land.
in the midst of otherwise gently sloping land, there is a series of hill formations. From the east, the first one is the oblong hill upon which Kirtipur is built. The second one, which is lower, is opposite Panga. On the saddle between this and third hill is the temple of the Vishnu Devi.
Measuring a minimum of 1250 mtrs, Chobhar caves are the second largest in Nepal and the third largest in Asia. Cross country, the caves are a brief fifteen-minute walk from ancient Chobhar Hill Village. To date, no snakes have been sighted in these Chobhar caves but many sightings of hundreds if not thousands of bats.
